PRELUDE

*CALL TO WORSHIP

God has given us everything

God has given us new life in Christ.

God has called us to be one in Christ

Jesus calls upon us to love one another as God loves us.

Jesus laid down his life for us

And so we are called to lay down our lives for one another.

Come, let us worship our God

Let us follow Jesus. Let us worship God.

OPENING PRAYER

God has given us everything

God has given us new life in Christ.

God has called us to be one in Christ

Jesus calls upon us to love one another as God loves us.

Jesus laid down his life for us

And so we are called to lay down our lives for one another.

Come, let us worship our God

Let us follow Jesus. Let us worship God.

*CALL TO CONFESSION

SILENT PRAYER OF CONFESSION

CORPORATE PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Almighty God, we confess that we often insist on our own way.

We make assumptions and judgments

that harm some and exclude others.

We turn away from our neighbor

without knowing who our neighbor is.

Forgive us for our selfish ways,

and call us to love our neighbors as ourselves,

to question our assumptions,

to reserve judgment,

and to err on the side of inclusion,

as Jesus laid down his life for all of us.

In Christ’s name we pray and seek forgiveness. Amen.

ASSURANCE OF PARDON

*SHARING THE PEACE OF CHRIST

The peace of the risen Christ be with you.

And also with you.

THE WORD

PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION (unison)

Holy God, thank you for your written Word,

which reveals to us your living Word,

in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Open our eyes to see wondrous things in your Word of truth.

Open our ears to hear your voice speaking to us the Words of life.

And open our minds so that your Holy Spirit may guide us into all truth.

In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

THE LORD’S PRAYER

OFFERTORY Amy Alley

*Prayer of Dedication (unison)

God of Glory and Majesty,

we have seen your glory in Christ,

for it shines in our lives through the faithful

who have walked with us on this journey.

In seeing Christ’s glory in them, we have seen you.

As we bring our gifts to you,

remind us that the world will not see you and your glory

unless they see it in each of us.

Remind us as we move through each day

that all around us are your children

who are desperately searching for a glimpse

of your holy presence and love.

May they see it in us today.

In the holy name of Christ, our Savior. Amen.
