“Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.”
HPC members and friends always are ready to support each other in times of life’s challenges. Members join the pastor in care for one another throughout the week through visits, calls, and notes of encouragement to those who are homebound or recovering from illness. HPC is full of great cooks and enjoys bringing meals to members and friends in need. When a baby is on the way, we are there to shower God’s love upon the expecting family. When a loved one dies, we are there (often with a home-cooked meal) to listen, pray, and support during such times of loss. Another aspect of care for each other comes through reaching out to guests and new members of the congregation in order to show the love of Christ. Building strong relationships that express the love of God is key for this congregation. Join us in the ministry of caring for one another!
