A nursery is provided by Sandra Riggan, assisted by other adults and older youth as needed, to care for babies & preschoolers.
Grades K4-5th
The younger children K4-2nd grade will be led by Mrs. Donnie. Upper elementary students grades 3-5 will be taught by Mrs. Ellen. Both classes will focus on the Old Testament heroes of the Bible this quarter. A special segment of each lesson in the curriculum will teach the children how to use their Bible. Students will be introduced to the scripture and experience it in many ways.
If your children have not attended Sunday School, this is a great time to start! where else will they hear the wonderful stories and scripture that God has planned for them to experience in their youth?
The Breakfast Club The Breakfast Club will begin studying the Gospel of Luke on August 29 through the fall and early winter. Pastor Jim teaches this class, which is open to younger adults from college age and up and meets at 10:00-10:45 a.m.in the classroom across from the nursery. Come join us this fall as we learn about the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, and how we can follow in his footsteps.
Light refreshments are usually served, and we invite you to come have breakfast with new friends.
Literature Class Denise Moran teaches this class. Our Literature Class has begun reading The Giver by Lois Lowery. During August, we will be looking at several concepts which will lead us into various Biblical concepts. During the Fall, we will turn to a study using Mark Twain's works, as well as a look at the author's faith journey.
Come join us in the library as we explore Biblical concepts through our reading of literary works. All are welcome to participate in our inter-generational group.
