Downtown Presbyterian Church Winter Coat Drive - along with other Presbyterian Churches, HPC is gathering winter coats for homeless adults.  Collection continues through October for distribution in November.

Room in the Inn - Donelson, Old Hickory and Hermitage Presbyterian Churches host ten homeless men each Saturday night from November through March.  The host church provides dinner and breakfast, personal care items and hospitality each week.

Ongoing Missions

Food Closet

HPC has hosted a food closet for many years.  This mission is an outreach provided by the congregation to assist people in the Hermitage community who are in need.  If your family is struggling due to illness or job loss, you may request a bag of food through the church office.

The congregation supports this ministry with donations of food and/or funds and shopping/stocking the food closet.

Heifer International/Shake Down Sundays

The Heifer Project provides a cow, chickens, a goat or a bee hive to starving communities to help begin their new food supply.

The young children of HPC have chosen to support the Heifer Project and are holding Shake Down Sundays on the first and third Sundays in September, October & November.  The children will collect your coins during the Children's Sermon - please fill your pockets so that you can assist in filling the buckets!

Please watch the bulletin board in the narthex to see how close they are getting toward raising enough funds to purchase an animal!

Ronald McDonald House

We collect and donate can tabs for this great mission for families with  children at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.
